Breast Augmentation Plastic Surgery

One of the most popular procedures today is breast augmentation plastic surgery. At his Las Vegas facility, board certified plastic surgeon George Alexander, M.D. specializes in several types of breast surgery and is dedicated to helping you achieve the figure you've always wanted.

Tell me about the surgery and recovery process

Breast augmentation plastic surgery is an outpatient procedure performed under general anesthesia. Dr. Alexander will make a small incision - typically made under the breast or around the nipple - and insert a saline breast implant either beneath the breast tissue or beneath both the breast tissue and the underlying muscle.

The benefits and drawbacks of both are something that can be discussed with Dr. Alexander during your consultation, along with cost, concerns and any questions you may have.

You will be required to remain fairly sedentary and rest for about a week following the procedure. After that, you should be able to start resuming light activities again as well as returning to work or school. Dr. Alexander will require that you do not resume any aerobic or strenuous physical activities for at least four to six weeks.

Is breast augmentation plastic surgery right for me?

Dr. Alexander wants you to be happy and satisfied with your results. If you have lost volume in your breasts due to pregnancy or weight loss, have slight to moderate sagging, or simply desire a larger chest for cosmetic reasons, then you could be a candidate for this procedure.

Keep in mind, though, that while breast augmentation plastic surgery can change how you feel about yourself, it won't magically change you into a new person. You should be absolutely certain that you are in good mental and physical health before undergoing this procedure.
