No Regrets with Breast Augmentation

Women in today’s world are constantly reminded of what the “ideal” feminine body should look like via television programs, movies, and magazine ads. Celebrity moms who bounce back to their pre-pregnancy shapes also play a part in influencing other new moms to do the same. However, when a woman goes through several pregnancies and breastfeeding, her breasts may not return to their natural state. Therefore, in order to regain a more youthful appearance, many turn to cosmetic plastic surgery, specifically breast enhancement. As one Las Vegas patient (and mother of four) states, “After nursing my children, and seeing what was left (nothing!), it was an easy decision.”

McCall Hancock had met her goal of undergoing breast augmentation before her 30th birthday; she had her procedure, four years after her youngest child was born. Having feelings of embarrassment when considering wearing a swimsuit or sports bra, she set off in her quest to find a qualified surgeon. During a visit with Dr. Alexander, he thoroughly examined Hancock and determined that in order for her to obtain a natural look, he would need to place saline breast implants under the chest muscle. As far as the type of incision used, “He explained that the incision would be very small, in the fold, under the breast,” Hancock says.

After her procedure, she does state that there was some discomfort for a few days, including some trouble sleeping and sore back. However, Hancock was free of any complications; by the end of summer she was feeling better and her scars had healed nicely. In addition, she is often complimented on how well her surgery turned out, even as recently as her annual exam with her gynecologist. According to Hancock, “He said, ‘Who was your doctor?’ After I told him, he said, ‘You know, you really have one of the best augmentations I have ever seen.’”

Working as a hairstylist, Hancock meets different women all day long, many of which she refers to Dr. Alexander for their procedure. Because of her own satisfaction with her procedure, she has said that she will continue to refer patients to his practice. “I have never regretted my decision to have the surgery. I am so grateful to Dr. Alexander for the amazing surgeon he is!”
